Mine would have to be my FX-52 which i used for almost 4 years, through 4 complete rebuilds and numerous upgrades and even when it was retired it could still handle current games.

A distant second would be my 8800gtx which is nearing 2 years old. Granted a lot of this longevity was based on the lack of competition at the time but it stayed pretty much at the top for almost 18 months and even now its fully capable and competitive in comparison to newer items.

The Nvidia 6600... played every game you through at it with ease, why anyone went all out for a 6800 still amazes me; not one game needed it.

Best mid-range card ever built!

Well no game needs a GTX 280. A 150-200 card can max every game besides Crysis, but a GTX 280 can't do tht either.

:p Unlucky dude I got this thing for THREE!!!... that's right I cant spell.

I would have never of got one, my choice would have been a 4850, Im a mid-range gamer when it comes to spending money on hardware. I've went from 9600pro>6600GT>7600GT>8800GTS.

Best money I've ever spent was on my MSI NX6600gt. Any game out at that time, and I mean any game was chewed through like nothing. Lasted me from Battlefield 2 until F.E.A.R., which was the first game I couldn't run maxed out...which is when I sold it to my little brother for duel 7900gt's.

My ATi Radeon 9800Pro 256mg GPU. Bought it 6yrs ago (it's been running in my wife's computer for the last four yrs.) Worked great then, still works great now.

As for Hardware I'm still currently using myself...I'd have to say my LG 20.1 Widescreen LCD monitor....Beautiful, just Beautiful !..........8)

My KDS Monitor, 22", 2ms, 8000-1 contrast and I bought it 2 years ago for $355 and it still goes for $296. Has worked like a charm and looks great, has survived I dont even know how many hours of none stop gaming. I am upgrading.. soon but It was a great investment and will be used for many years to come.

Probably my 9600XT. I stopped using it two years ago, but my brother used it until August, when he got a new computer with a 8800GT. It's crazy, my 9600XT costed $100 back when I bought it, and the 8800GT costs the same today, even though it's performance in contemporary games destroys what the 9600XT did in it's contemporary games.
