Hey guys, I'm really curious as what you guys think are the best headphones around for gaming. Here's a list I compiled: Steelseries Siberia V2 USB Razer Megalodon Tritton AX Pro Pskyo 5.1 Astro A40 + Mixamp Turtle Beach Ear Force X41 Let me know :)

Go for the Astro A40s or a set of Sennheisers. If you want a headset the PC350 or PC360 is a good choice for sound clarity.

Depends really. Do you want clear accurate sound reproduction or do you just want big explosions?

Absolute best gaming headphones for sound positioning? It's probably Stax, but your wallet's going to be really thin afterwards (especially if you skip the Lambda line and go straight for the SR-009). Even then, you have to back it up with an X-Fi card and CMSS-3D Headphone, and the effect will still work well with cheaper headphones (provided your HRTF isn't too far beyond the average), just with less of that distinctly atmospheric presentation. Best headphones for rumbling explosions, however? I'm not the one to consult, because I'm no basshead.

Honestly, I'd like both. Thankfully money isn't really an issue, I'm just looking for someone to point me in the right direction because I'm not too savvy with the headphone world hahah. Dear god.

lmao. Sennheiser, Audio Technica, AKG. I'd avoid the ones you listed TC, if you're serious about headphones. I believe the ones you listed are headsets anyways.

STAX FTW, Snell THX reference in headphone form ;)
