Hi guys, im in the market for a new set of headphones and they have to be under $100, im sure im not alone and there are other people looking for great deals. Also if you know of good headphones amplifiers please let us know. I own few headphones so far they are Beats By Dr Dre Solo, Sennheiser HD203, and Monster Heartbeats. I got a great deal on all of them, i use my ipod and ipad mostly to listen to music but i do want to get a nice sound card for my rig so if you have a good reccomendation please let us know also. So far i did a lot of research and there are quite a few choices to pick from but if you know of some better deals please share.

#1, Creative Aurvana Live! $70 on amazon, I found these great headphones and after a lot of reading reviews seems like they are really good.

#2, Audio-Technica Import ATH-AD500, $78 on Amazon also, these got excellent reviews for its price range.

#3. Grado Prestige Series SR80i $99 on amazon, these are really good with Rave reviews also so its a tough choice.

Also there are these headphones a little bit more pricier but defintelly worth it if you got the money.

#4, Audio-Technica ATH-A700 Closed-Back Dynamic Headphones, can be found just over $100 mark, these produce exceptional quality sound, and tons of positive feedback.

So please if you have any reccomendations let us know. So far im leaning towards the Creative Aurvana Live, i owned a Xfi sound card before and i know Creative got some quality stuff. my second choice is Audio-Technicas ATH-A700's but everything is still not decided as this time i want to shop around before i buy my next cans.

I own those Grados. They're alright--they lack bass response, though.

I can't compare to any other headphones (due to me not having any experience), but I feel the Superlux HD668B's sound really amazing, and are pretty comfortable, and they're only $50! The base is fairly strong, but everything really goes together and sounds perfect, even after using them for the first time.

I just don't like them because of how much they leak the music when they're at reasonable volumes (which is about 80% on my iPod and HTC Rezound). Like seriously. Someone 10ft from you can almost perfectly hear what you're listening to. I don;t want to be "that" person on the bus or any other public area.

But they would be perfect for personal use!

I was actually wondering the same thing. im leaning towards the Grado's becasue i've always heard praise about grado's. Can anyone confirm that the SR80's are good?

They are very good; in fact all of the headphones - even the Creative ones - are very well-regarded among both audiophiles and neophytes, alike. Good list. Boz

Go with the Creative aurvana is a a rebadge of the Denon 1001 using the same drivers and actually has better sound quality. Here is a in depth review from someone who really knows about headphones.
