I see SR2 is out on PC, worth my time? Never played any of those games.
I own SR2 on the PS2 and I've never really bothered with it. The combat feels far more chunkier than in SR1, and SR2's story picks up just where SR1 left it (right on a ****ing epic cliffhanger), so most of it wouldn't make sense unless you spoiler it all on wikipedia.
It's pretty much like Tomb Raider, only more combat (melee combat featuring impalement!), less traps (you're an immortal vampire so you can't even die á la Planescape Torment), better world/atmosphere, Metroid/SotN style ability-based character improvement and a much, much, much better protagonist and story - but even if you read up about the story, you really need to play Blood Omen and Soul Reaver to fully appreciateit.
If it's cheap and you definitely own a pad you can play it with, I'd say go for it - just don't complain to me if you don't like it!
