I'm looking for games that are innovative and new, so no first person military shooters please.

mount and blade ( a great sandbox medieval themed game be good or evil conquer villages castles city's or be a trader you can lead your army's in 3d battles and fight along side them you can build buildings in your own towns and castle there is just to much you can do endless hours of addictive fun )

Defense Grid: The Awakening.

Although it's not incredibly innovative (it's a tower defense game), it is certainly a hell of a lot of fun.

come on it's one of the best indie games there is and I think they did a hell of a job with only 2 people who made it

Form some of the best indie games , a nice source would be IGF 2010 Finalists (previous winners include Braid, World of Good, Crayon Physics Deluxe ,Machinarium, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Aquaria, Darwinia, Gish, N and many other games mentioned in this thread were in the nominess)
