Sager, best gaming laptop, period, my friend bought one with a 6990, runs any game out there. I am a distributor for them in my area, they are great for the money and have really quality components.
For what? School or work? Lenovo Thinkpads are really the way to go. Not the sleekest looking but they have great hardware, lots of options, excellent service, and they're built like tanks. A couple models even have an optional IPS panel which is fantastic to have on a laptop.
If you're wanting a laptop for mostly gaming, I don't know. I wouldn't buy a "gaming laptop" personally.

Toshiba is the worst, hands down.
That can neither be confirmed or denied. It differs from person to person.[QUOTE="KRAM_02"][QUOTE="MonsieurX"]Asus>everything else HP are the worstgmaster456

That can neither be confirmed or denied. It differs from person to person.I've never owned either, worked on plenty of both. I worked for Best Buy and currently for HP, while I wont say HP is anywhere near the best, Toshiba generates more issues than any others 3:1. In retrospect, may also just be the people buying them, stupid people tend to buy cheap computers.

I for one definitely trust the word of a Sager distributor about the quality of Sager products.:P
Apple is easily the best for general use. Upgrades aside, they're only overpriced if you fail to appreciate just how much better things like the unibody chassis, high-quality screen, long battery life and keyboard+touchpad are than anything the competition has to offer. On the Windows side of things, it depends more on the model than the make -- all the big players not named Acer have at least one or two solid models and at least one or two lemons.
