I'm looking the best stuff to show of my tv, I don't care if a movie has good story I just want amazing pictures.

I know the obvious like spider man and pirates of the caribbean I'm also getting planet earth. Just wondering if there some less heard of stuff.

I think the best looking HD movies are Animated Movies,

Because Colourful Pictures really bring out a jaw dropping Shine in HD. I would say get something like Ice Age or Happy Feet

after you said that I suggested superman returns because it is one of a handfull of films actually filmed in HD so it will show off your tv brilliantly, although I do agree thatmovies story was messed up big time.

From what I remember, it's mostly costumes and sets with some animation in it (effects & critters); and it's a very good movie.

Probibly Planet Earth. I hear 3:10 to Yuma is one of the best looking and sounding also.

Top 5 Blu ray movies, visual

1.Ratatouille

2.Paprika

3.Cars

4.Black Snake Moan

5. Pirates of the Carribean: The Curse Of the Black Pearl

I want to note the reason whyI ratePaprika higher than Cars is that cars tries to be too real with it's transfer, trying to get that picture to life feel to it, I actually felt A bitnacuous when watching cars, while Paprika retains a stable, whilestill beautiful and vividpicture, and proves to be a better transfer, even if Cars does better in terms of animation. Ratatoullie has a more natural, andmore organic look, while doesn't try to overwhelm the viewer with flashes and make everything look too real.

Ratatoullie definitely ranks as one of the better looking Blu-Ray titles. Planet Earth is incredible too.

Superman Returns has pretty crappy picture quality when compared to most BD titles. I was really disappointed when I bought it.

Ratatouille is definitely a great one for picture, as is Crank and Apocalypto. Pan's Labyrinth gets honorable mention just because it's a gorgeous movie to begin with, it could be on VHS and I'd say get it.

Just watched in on HD-DVD last weekend. I don't have 1080P on my TV, but I can assure you that IT LOOKS AMAZING. It was one of the better HD films I have seen. (of course I keep buying older movies on HD-DVD to watch, lol)

Casino Royale looks awsome, So Does Black Hawk Down, The Departed looks very very nice, tho it doesnt have many special effects, Kingdom of Heaven is a must, Oh yaa how come nobody mentioned 300 yet. Thats the mother of all blu-rays.
