It's still not as high a quality as the early Crysis footage, which was photorealistic, although obviously pre-rendered. Today's hardware just can't do that in realtime.

Nice looking screen, but it's still not too far removed from Far Cry.

Alot closer then that if you ask me. We got Octa-Crossfire coming out here. Now if the drivers work great, then we could push games like this

I think that shot is one of those "photo mode" shots, ala Halo 3.

In game you can get the engine to render a super high screenshot that takes a few seconds, then you can scale it down, no jaggies.

Now that the demo's out, does anyone really still care about screenshots? Herrick

Seriously. Dont get me wrong, I enjoy eyecandy....Im just too busy playing cat and mouse with those North Koreans to stop and smell the roses. The gameplay is what truly makes Crysis a beautiful game.

Not to be too much of a nerd, but Crysis is like Alyx Vance for HL2: sure, she is smoking hot, but what really turns you on is her attitude and personality, aka whats inside of her that counts.

Haha! Well said. I like great graphics as well, but screen shots are only somewhat useful to Herrick before actual gameplay footage comes out. And I'm sure the demo is giving everyone a much better indication of how the game will look on their system rather than a questionable screen shot that looks way too good to be true. I don't know. Maybe people are interested in seeing what the game may look like in the future.
