Well yesterday I started a thread about upgrading my card and psu but I found out none would fit because I have this PC

http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/desktop-vostro-220st?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd

its a dell vostro 220s running 2gb of ram intel pentium dual core 2.2ghz

I am wondering what low profile card can I get since I cant upgrade my psu because I tried 4 today and none of them would fit in it ; ; I wish my brother had gotten the big one instead of this small cased one.

well I'm open to anything if you find a psu that will fit here then I surely can get a regular pci-e powered card

but for now it seems a low powered card is all I can fit :(

Is it the model with 250W? I would of said the HD 5670 is a good low-profile card but 250W won't suffice.

One question. Why even attempt to upgrade a dell?

You gotta do the best you can with what you have. I was using an upgraded dell up until last month. Of course it wasn't low-profile, which made things easier, but it was BTX. (They always have to find some way to make things difficult don't they?)

you trip and fail over yourself.. listen his psu is 250 watts the gts 250 needs 250 watts just too boot ITSELF nevermind the rest of the machine. hd 2400 pro.. she runs on a pair of AA's :P.. odds are if you could get it to power off a setup like that itd go too :P

all hd 2400's *should come with a replacement low profile bracket or have it alrdy attached. the cards isnt exactly a push over either she churns out dow 2 red alert 3, oblivion and rainbow 6 vegas all before lunch which makes it worth the time of getting one.. also there cheap enough considering there three generations old. granted they are no gts 250 to be sure but with the existing psu.. hes basically lucky to get an hd 2400pro.. because the alternatives arent even worth discussing (geforce 6200, 7200 hd 3450 low profile (3450 is a 2400pro with a new sticker))
