While I like the EVGA, I have had problems, well one problem and it is getting annoying. *short version* About 1 in 8 times I restart or turn on my computer, my BIOS resets and will not recognize any of my drives, I have to clear the CMOS and reset all my settings. Now I hate this problem, but at least I can still use my computer. I am getting ready to RMA it a second time. But even after my problems I would get any EVGA ahead of any ASUS any day. There customer support was willing to work with me instead of blaming every other componet in my computer.

This is what I was told when I purchased mine from Frys. "If your going to go with an EVGA 8800GTX GPU then you may want to go with a 680i EVGA mobo" He said they would run better together and I wouldnt really know but, I like my 680i EVGA board.

I'd go with the eVGA. Striker is just way too overpriced and it's extra features don't justify the cost imo. Those would be my picks though, they pretty much own every spot in the 3dmark Hall of Fame. Only downside is they seem to be hit or miss, either works fine out of the box or it's a total nightmare.

do NOT listen to fry's employees, as a general rule. great place to shop, as long as you already know what you're doing... as far as the motherboard is concerned, it generally doesn't notice what brand of video card is sitting in its PCIe slot. :P

Yeah, but still I ended up bumping it up from a 650i to a 680i because they didnt have the 650i in stock. Im overall happy with my purchase.

Yes, I love there replacement plan, that is the reason I will still be an EVGA customer and never an ASUS customer again. Everybody will make or just have some bad products, it is how they take care of their customers when this happens that matters to me.
