What are the top single player FPS's still worth playing?
Some of which I have played include:
- Bioshock
- Call of Duty
- Half-Life 2
Can you rank the games you have personally tried and enjoyed?

Fallout 3 (Yes, it is an FPS at heart)
Crysis
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault
Deus Ex
Soldier of Fortune: Double Helix
So hard to say. I think Halo 1's campaign was something truly special. More than your usual fluff and filler, that blinds so many people. It's too bad that the community surrounding the franchise is so freaking terrible, that it's hard to appreciate. Saying Halo, means almost everyone backfires and goes into defensive positions because it reminds them of 12 year old jerk offs screaming in a mic for attention on XBox Live.
It was really good. It had such a cool low paced way of telling it's story, with few explanations. There was little need to introduce characters backgrounds. It was from point A to point B, without all the bullcrap.
Contra that to something like Half-Life 2, which became almost forced and strangely linear with writing that failed at the end. Horrendous ending.
I will say Outlaws. I think that game was absolutely terrific and brilliant in almost every way. Redneck Rampage was also very fun.
While I did enjoy Halo's story, I am surprised to see that you think HL2 had a bad story. That game has some of the best and most unique characters ever in a video game. The story is easily one of my favorites of all time. Remember the ending isn't really the ending. It continues into the Episodes, which I highly recommend you play.So hard to say.
