I dont like the big headsets because they hurt my sensitive ears.

I got a pair of these. They dont hurt my ears at all.

http://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-Audio-326-Stereo-Headset/dp/B001S2RCXW/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1341438952&sr=8-9&keywords=headset

Is there any headsets that are of better sound quality of the same size? Im fine with my current ones but just wondering.

What type of budget are you on? I would recommend going with headphones and a clip on microphone.

One more thing, when you say sensitive ears, what exactly is the issue?

Example my headphones the K702 rest only on your head and around your ears (not on them), yet they would still be considered large headphones.

Would something like that be fine with you?

I dont think those bigger headphones would work for me. I start to feel pressure on my ears and it gets to the point I have take them off. May be because my head is bigger. Lightweight ones is what I want. So lighter the better.

I think one of those mics you clip on your shirt would work for me.

So im looking for the best of these kind of headphones. Will be using it for pc gaming.

For the type you want try the Koss porta pro cheap and decent sound quality.

Koss Porta Pro

Altough I would reccomend looking into something better at the very least the creative aurvana live bigger but still on ear and very comfortable with soft pads with minimal clamping force. What headphones/headset exactly have you used before that hurt your ears alot of headphones and headsets especially the cheaper ones have poor comfort. If you got something lightweight with good weight distrubution and softpads with low clamping force I'm sure you would be fine for hours with full size headphones like the Audio technica series A/AD 300-900 line or beyerdynamics headphones and would be better sounding in general and defiantly better for gaming with a wider soundstage.

Creative aurvana live

Audio Technica AD700

Beyer Dynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm

Audio Technica A700X

Wearing headphones is similar to first wearing glasses, it takes a while to get used to them and it also helps to find a pair that doesn't bother you. For example I always thought I hated over the ear headphones but that was only with cheaper sony and koby brand headphones, I now use audiotechnica's and never have any issues.

You won't get decent sound out of something like that, there's no room for decent drivers. If you get over ear headphones they don't touch your ears.

Hey there, Slipknot0129,

I, too, have a fat head. I mean really big, and I wear glasses. I ran into the same issues about which you're concerned.

The most comfortable pair of headphones for your head are going to be the Audio Technica ATH-AD700 (~$90). They are super-comfortable for people with big heads and excellent for gaming due to their open-back design. The most common complaint is that it feels like it's going to fall off, but that's for pinheads, not people like you or I! They are highly regarded in their price range by both headphone enthusiasts and amateurs alike, so buy with confidence. However, they do lack in the bass department, a downside of the open-back design.

If you want a super-comfy closed-back headphone and you've got a big head, the price jumps a bit for the Beyerdynamic DT770 (~$180). Super, super comfortable and bass-heavy without sacrificing quality, but not quite as good for first-personal shooters due to the closed-back design. Now, if both of these are outside your budget, you might consider the JVC HARX-700 (~$35), which I use on a daily basis. They're comfortable with quite a bit of bass punch.

Then you just need any number of clip-on or desktop mics and you're good to go. Go ahead and take a look through the Headphone FAQ at the top of these forums for additional suggestions, or visit this thread on Head-Fi for some additional suggestions.

Happy gaming,

Boz

Why are you all suggesting big heavy headphones when he said he didn't want big heavy headphones??

Is something like the Bowers & Wilkins P5 better?

It's not that they're light or heavy, it's that they put pressure on his sensitive ears, which I can relate to and was one of my primary issues when searching far and wide for my own headphones. I've used the P5 at length and I personally do not like them for both comfort and sound quality issues, so I did not recommend them. The Audio Technica ATH-AD700 is very light and comfortable, and probably the ideal headphone for his situation unless the bass output is a concern, in which case I suggested alternatives I had found comfortable. Outside that he might consider an IEM like the Klipsch Image S4i. Happy gaming, Boz

I thought the B&W P5s were extremely comfortable and they felt exquisite, the sort of -- I'm a sophisticated banker for large corporate international bank kind of thing. Oh and think the sound is more than decent. I normally don't care for design, but when design reeks of such ostentatious-ness as these do I really would pay a premium price for it. I'm not saying I would soley buy them for the presentation only, but if I found an uglier headphone that sounds as good for $50 less I'm probably pay the extra 50 bucks for the sense of luxury.

You can get decent sound out of any type, just like a bad sounding set if they aren't putting out the kind of sound you like.. I use v-moda bass freq earbuds with 10mm drivers and they sound good to me.
