Best online multiplayer FPS.

What is the best, most fun multiplayer first person shooter? Doesn't have to be exclusive. If I get a lot of similar answers I might add a poll.

its just such a great experience and I love the commuunity

Team Fortress 2, in my opinion.

Others include: Battlefield series (2 and 1942 in particular) Call of Duty series, Counter Strike: Source, Half Life 2: Deathmatch is pretty fun AND free if you have an ATI or Nvidia card (which is everyone, pretty much.)

To my tastes Quake Wars followed by Battlefield 2, and UT III and Crysis Wars fighting for a third place.

But to general tastes seems that COD 4/2, Counter Strike, BF2 and Team Fortress 2/Left 4 Dead are the most popular.

Is matter about what you like more; I can explain the reasons because I think that some shooters are better than others, but in most of the cases a well building argument can't do anything against a personal taste.
