Hey guys! So STEAM is having a sale on this game called "Shadowgrounds Survivor" and it is only $5 for both the first and second game. I downloaded the demo and enjoyed it quite a bit so I went ahead and bought it. Now I am wondering what is the best over head shooter? Are there any better ones then this game? Here's a screen shot of the game: I just feel the over head camera is a nice change compared to all the FPS I have played. It also reminds me of an old game I used to play on the PSX that was an over head shooter.

Reminds me, in a way, of Crusader: No Regret and Crusader: No Remorse, but both of these areolder classics. Zombie Shooter is a bit more contemporary and has both a similar perspective and is steamable. I have been considering dropping my $5 for the two games.... probably will.

EDIT: Bah, I went ahead and bought 'em. I cannot resist steam deals.

I was thinking about getting Zombie Shooter before but the crappy graphics and animations made me decide not to. It also seemed more like a run around this open area and just shoot tons of spawning zombies type game. This Shadowgrounds game has great graphics and has more of a level design in which your progress through levels.

call me crazy, but I really enjoyed Space Siege

Silent Storm is good too (it is turn-based, though), as are the Commando games.

I think Syndicate will go down as my favorite, though

I loved those games. The flesh-eating gun will always have a special place in my heart. I bought Zombie Shooter and Alien Shooter a while ago.. Zombie Shooter was great fun.. I've blasted through it a couple times, but I think Alien Shooter was bugged. I ended up not playing it for some reason, anyway. I also bought Shadowgrounds before without checking the "co-op".. which is local co-op. Not even LAN. That was a bit of a disappointment, so I never ended up playing it.

What?? That sucks! Co-op is the only reason why I bought the game. Oh well I'll still play through it.

I loved Shadowgrounds. Picked up the pack during the holiday sales for $3.39. Best $4 ever spent!

I _always_ intended to get that one and just never managed to make it happen which I do regret. There was rumors of remake at one time, too.

and the best overhead shooter would be the alien shooter love that game alot of fun to be had there just blasting away at wave after waves of aliens and getting better and more powerful weapons as you progress it also has some nice level design and you do progress through levels in both games.

you can buy the game download off amazon.com for $5

alien shooter download

theres also the sequel alien shooter vengeance with lots of added features and much better graphics
