Best overall FPS at the moment?

I've had CoD4 for quite some time now (nearly since it came out) and although its still a very good game and I still love playing it, I'm looking for something new.

I want reasonably good graphics, very good multiplayer and a large playerbase.

BF BC2 looks pretty good, but I've heard it has a lot of hackers in it, and a few other problems. Is it still worth getting?

I'll probably get get Black ops and/or the new MOH if they rate good when they come out, but they are still a few months away.

Any suggestions on what to play in the meantime?

MW 2, BFBC 2, or MAG if you have a PS3.

BFBC2 for sure. The SP is some of the best out there with the destructible buildings and the MP is crazy.

Definitely Bad Company 2, SP is not really that good, but the MP will keep you satisfied for a long time.

Yeah, if you haven't played BFBC2 you certainly need to. I'm not much into MP. I played it for the campaign and throughly enjoyed it.

Yep1 And honestly, the cartoonish animation adds a certain feel to the game that compliments the classes and feel perfectly. Kind of in the same way the borderlands graphics add a gritty and cartoonish feel to the wasteland.

In TF2, the cartoons are important, and pretty amazing too. Plus, its gory as hell. Its like a 3d comic strip where you can literally blow people to bits.

again, TF2 man. Hella good graphics, if not quirky, the class based system makes it so you can have fun on your own, but you can also work with your team and complimentary classes to totally destroy. And, player base, you can always find a variety of servers, I read on Valve TF2 has more daily players than CS:S now too. And it might take a while to find a community you like, but man, once you do, and you have friends to play with, you wont play other games.

PLus, constant updates, and close to no hackers.

No, I'm not being payed by Valve, I just love this game. Its cheap too.

Really? Looking it up! I swear I read an official announcement or somthing.

Look at the Steam stats. TF2 maxes out at 20k, while CS at about 60k (usually higher)w4rrior17

I'm so tired of hearing about TF2 in EVERY SINGLE THREAD. I like it, but it gets tired fast (as indicated by Steam stats). IMO, the best all-around FPSs out right now (which still feel kinda fresh) are MW2 and BFBC2. Though I'm think that Call of Duty (7): Black Ops and Battlefield 3 will surely steal their thunder.

Best FPS's right now are B:BC2 and TF2. CS:S is good too but there's quite a learning curve. I'd also recommend Crysis and the STALKER series if you're looking for singleplayer.

Well, they'll start handing out invitations to the beta for people who got the limited edition of Medal of Honor. We dont' know when that will be, but it's safe to assume a Battlefield release in 2011. I'm guessing it will be around this time of year.

Hackers in BFBC2? I've never seen one, well I saw a guy that got banned for using aimbot by punkbuster but nothing else.
