I can't pick a single song - what's the point? I do really like Deus Ex's "Unatco Returns" music, with the combat variation included. But I mean, with music from games like Diablo, Diablo 2, Starcraft, Starcraft 2, Rise of Nations, Splinter Cell : Chaos Theory, Age of Conan, etc. - you can't just pick one song.

I have to admit though, I'm not a fan of the Half Life 1/2 soundtrack. They're good atmospheric pieces, but I think they lack a certain "completeness" that would allow me to listen to them outside of the game. I also really hate that unfunny and unmusical Portal song that's so popular these days.

Only song in the game which didn't suck/pale in comparison with Bioware's soundtrack in Knights of the Old Republic.

I always loved the theme to Unreal Tournament '99.

On it's own I quite like the song, but it just fitted the game so well at the end

Morrowind hands down... easily the most rememerable music for me in a video game.

The title screen music reeks of epicness.

Baba Yetu from Civilization IV such an amazingly powerful song first time i played it couldn't help but sit there for a few minutes and just soak it all in.
