As for the topic, I like all sim racers (NASCAR SimRacing, F1 2002, GTR-FIA...)
If you want good customizable racing sims then GTR, GTR2 and Rfactor are great to paint and customize your cars and the racing is unbeatable and there are tones of leagues if you're into clean racing but if your just want to ride-em-and-bang-em then need for speed most wanted...
Grand Prix II is the best PCÂ racing game --for its day. It's Gamespot's fifth best PC game of all time -they gave it a 9.5.
GTR and 2 are good too. Motocross Madness and Motocross Madness 2 were fun motocross racing games. Gunning the 2 stroke engine in the original Motorcross Madness sounded awesome.
I wish there were more good PCÂ racing games today.

Also the NFS games are terrible! Most Wanted was the biggest joke I have ever seen. You can actually unmap your brake button and it does not change the game! A racing game that doesn’t use the brakes?!?! Garbage.
P.S. The best racing games are on Xbox with Forza, RalliSport Challenge 2, TOCA series (better on Xbox than PC), MotoGP 3.
NFS=GOOD??? News to me... Best true racing games are GTR2, Indycar Racing 2 (OLD NOW), Nascar Racing (Papyrus Ones), Grand Prix II.... Good racing games are ageless. NFS are just rubbish yearly re-hashes..

GTR 2 by far. Get yourself a good Force Feedback steering wheel and nice peddals and nothing can come close. I played NFS Carbon a while ago...it was a joke compared to GTR 2...
