So much fun that game :)
Might be able to play it while using one of those programs taht lets you play old/dos games. I forget the name of the program, but its the same one you use to play Elderscrolls Daggerfall and other older games on XP/vista?
1) Dune 2 (the first rts I playied and boy was it good)
2) DOW1 +exp packs (Such diversity in the games factions, ballance is a bit off tho, love wh40k)
3) Star Craft (first multiplayer rts I playied, love the music and artstyle, alittle put off by normal guns taking out tanks)
4) Total Anihilation (not alot to say, its awesome)
5) Warcraft 2 (WC3 was a great dissapointment and felt like a step back in the series)
6) KKND (Seriously mutants riding huge mutated scorpions vs. Technicals, what is not to love?)
7) C&C Red Alert (never really cared much about any C&C game, except the first red alert, it is however one of the best rts I ever layied my hands on)
8) C&C Generals (I do not really consider this a true C&C game, I like the modern setting, and the awesome and varried settings)
1. Starcraft
2. Red Alert/Original C&C
3. Age of Empires I and II
4. Warcraft 3
5. Total Anihilation
6. Rise of Nations
7. Company of Heroes
This is in order of the impact each game had in their respective time periods as well as the extent to which they brought something new and fresh into the RTS genre.
Red Alert / Retaliation for the PSX
Red Alert 2 for the PC
Age of Empires 1 for the PC
Generals.
I've played tons of RTS but I just loved the C&C games so much.

Yes, it certainly is. What with people bumping threads created over two years ago...The noob level on this forum is appalling. TA4Life
[QUOTE="Inconsistancy"]SC didn't make your list D: Methinks you're crazy. And Alpha Centari is great, 'least it was the first RTS I played, so hurray to it introducing me to the genre!Lucianu
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri? That's not a RTS game, it's one of my favorites aswell.
It's not TBS, it's real time... and employs some strategy, it may be shallow, but it's gotta be in the genre...O.oPlease Log In to post.
