I absolutely loved TA... it depends on what area your looking at. Starcraft probably had the best balance considering there were 3 races. TA had amazing graphics for the time period. CnC was techniquely Sci-Fi, but in my eyes most of the earlier games were just modern RTS games. Definately homeworld for story-line.
I was just reading a preview of Universe at War and it sounds really excellent.Three very different races with interesting resource management styles.Hopefully when it comes out it will make the list!
I love Total Annihilation, but Dawn of War is just hella sweet. Starcraft was good, but I don't see why people go so nuts over it. I hink Total Annihilation is much better than Starcraft. But that's just me.
