[QUOTE="yoyo462001"]it would have to be the x1950xt imo thats a pretty mean card.Big_Black_EyesX1950XT is a dual slot card and its very rare to find for a decent price anymore...
I found a single slot version of 8800GTX and its also water cooled but its $800 Cad+ 14% tax.Big_Black_EyesOverpriced for the performance it gives...

My pc doesn't have space for dual slot cards so I need a good single slot card. Here is my specification- Core2 Qx6950, 4GB ram, Intel GMAX3000 intergrated Gpu. How is my Cpu?Big_Black_Eyes
Thats a fantastic CPU, how could you get such an amazing CPU and pair it with intergrated graphics :P As for a single slot video card Id wait for the 8800gt.
Couldn't he take off the cooler of a dual slot card and water cool it himself to make it a single slot?Infinite-Zr0
possibly, but thats just needless bother when he could get one that was designed to be single slot with less risk.
How is the 2600XT with 7.10 driver?Big_Black_Eyes
dude you processor is so amazing that any card below 8800 or hd2900 would bottleneck... those are the cards you should focus on... unless all you do with your computer is type papers and surf the web... then your gpu doesnt matter, you wasted your money on your processor, and you have no computer knowlege at all...

Video cards don't bottleneck processors, only the other way around.
The best single slot cards currently are the water-cooled 8800s, or the 7950GT.
The X1950Pro and 7900GS are next.

even so... it is worthless to have a 150$~ gpu paired with a 1100$~ processor...

aren't you the guy that said he had a "pentium 4 Extreme edition" up to 6ghz yesterday?
its in the hardware section, called "6.0 Ghz Pentium 4 with HT."
your posts are laughable if u say that you have a QX6950 on the 11th and then on the 15th talk about a P4 xtreme OC..
in fact i didnt see many posts from you after people were asking for proof.

Im guessing he bought a good processor but a crappy motherboard to sit it in. Honestly what half decent motherboard nowadays thats suited for a 6950 doesnt sit a dual video cardLove_Hina_Lover
No. The Cpu heatsink is huge its taking a lot space.

yes, he is that n00b, apparently he is capable of clocking a P4 up to 6ghz, and yet he is not aware of how to do a print screen...
[QUOTE="RayvinAzn"]I smell a 3.0GHz Pentium D that someone played "add the cores" with.Big_Black_Eyes
No its not. I am not that dumb and how do I post screen shots ?

If gaming is your only concern, yes. Computers are used for things other than gaming though.
why would you need that processor then, nothing requires that much processing power when graphics are not involved...
[QUOTE="Squeets"]why would you need that processor then, nothing requires that much processing power when graphics are not involved...LordEC911
Servers, video editing, picture editing, rendering, map making(somewhat gaming related, music editing...
Lots of things.
all of those accept the server require some sort of graphics... and if he was running a server... why would he be in here asking for a video card in the first place..?

...not all of those, and alot of the ones that are you dont need more then a 80 dollar graphics card, since when does music editing and rendering need a high end graphics card.
oh, and as i said before, an 8800gt if you can wait or want dx10, or a 7900gs.
[QUOTE="PWN-Schubie"][QUOTE="portujoel5"]cpu rocks. Buy a 8800GTXjpph
he is looking for a single slot card....
why is beyond me.
does that mean that if a card says sli it wont work on its own? someone please explain
if it says SLI it works on its own, but it also has the ability to be paird (if motherboard supports SLI) with a card of the same kind to run together.
and to 9mmSpliffs comment, ah...just read it all agian, he has a 1500 dollar processor, running with on board video, and aparently is running it in a case that doesnt have 2 slots avialable......
seems likley.

the only system that comes close to tri-sli is mac pro... but that doesnt really count because its mother board which also hold several processors... is actually several motherboards combined...
