What are some of the top modern PC games that aren't too demanding and would perform decently on my HP notebook? All I have is an AMD Turion 64 X2 (1.6Ghz) CPU, 1 gig, and a geforce go 6150 256MB graphics chip.

I don't care which genre it is. I'm willing to play First person shooters, real time strategies, etc. Also, I'm not a big PC gamer. The only games I've played on my current notebook are; Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, and Black & White.

I know you said modern but if you haven't played them I would suggest Fallout (1 and 2), Starcraft and X-Com if you can find it. X-Com:TFTD just came out on Steam so maybe the first one will as well. Those all work very well on notebooks. I have them all currently installed on mine right now. ;)

Other games I have on there are Dawn of War, Guild Wars and Titan Quest. Though you might have to turn some of the settings down a little for those.

Hope this helps and I hope you enjoy those.

Thanks, I'll be sure to check those out. Also, would it be vital to add another gig of ram? The integrated graphics steals memory from the main board, thus decreasing down to 980MB or something like that.

On the topic of integrated graphics, I noticed in the BIOS I can set the VRAM to etheir 32MB, 64MB, or 128MB. Which setting should I choose? Should I wait until I add more ram?
