summer really is the best time to build a PC, but Intel is going to do some major price cuts this July.

anyway, summer is generally the best time of the year to build a PC

Its not really a month, just a season.

still, wait until July cuz you'll be able to go quad-core for under $300

I would say July for lower prices on current tech or Xmas if you want the Penryn/9800/DDR3.

if you have the money upgrade now...if you end up waiting you are going to be dissapointed.  i waited for the e6320's etc to come out because people said to wait for the huge price drops and to be honest the prices didnt even drop enough to make it worth the wait.  i finally ordered my computer and im waiting for newegg to process my order.  waiting is a waste of time in the pc world.  i could have been gaming solid for 3 months now instead of wasting my time waiting for "supposed" price drops

Considering that the Q6600 price will go from $530 to $266 (US dollars) I would say that waiting is definately worth it. Also, some of the Conroe's will drop down, and Pentium D/4 will as well.
