I don't think anything in recent memory comes close to the trailer for WRATH OF THE LICH KING. I don't even play WOW and i play that trailer once everyday.
Must remark honorable mentions to Dawn Of War (Blur Studios cinematics) and Mark Of Chaos (Digic cinematics), and The Witcher intro -can't remember the studio behind the intro- as some of the most memorable intros in videogames in the last 5 years. But Blizzard Film Department is still the nº 1.
I'll always remember the Diablo II trailer because it was the first time I had ever seen a commercial for a PC on regular network TV. As a gamer I saw it and said "Freakin' sweet! Diablo's on TV!!"

World in Conflict. It made the game seem 100 times more awesome than it turned out to be.

The most amazing thing I've ever seen were the E3 previews for HL2 way back in '02 (or was it '03?). No games have done anything like what Half-Life 2 was doing at the time, and it was probably the most hyped release I've ever taken part of. It certainly changed gaming.
