Hello guys! I'm a beginner of TBS games. I've never ever played a Turn-based Strategy Game before. (I've never ever played a RTS Game too.)

@exopponent: Civilization is not only the best, but the best start. It's pretty easy to learn and grow in to, but has a lot of depth. Civ 6 is excellent, but you can get any of them, really.
XCOM is good, but that more turn based tactical, not really strategy.
Thank you guys! Well...my laptop is not a great one...these are the specs:
@gmak2442 , @mrbojangles25 , @TheShadowLord07
Which game of Civ series should I play, considering that I'm a beginner and my laptop is not a good one?
I had a lot of fun with Alpha Centauri; it's an older Civ game, basically a Civ game that takes place in space. It has aged well, still a lot of fun.
You'll have to look up the requirements, but Civ IV might be a good start for you?
*here are the reqs for Civ IV
I guess the only question is the vid card, but I think Intel HD graphics are OK for this, yeah?
@mrbojangles25: Yeah, i think so. My laptop is running Windows 10. I hope the operating-system is not an inconvenience.
Thank you! I'm gonna try Civ IV!
I think you might consider Master of Orion - a lot of turn-based strategy games tend to be very complex, but if you can run it then I think Master of Orion might be a good option. I would suggest either Master of Orion II (from GoG.com) or the latest Master of Orion reboot. Skip the original Master of Orion and Master of Orion 3.
@xantufrog: The original Master of Orion is a classic and for good reason -- it's a cleaner design and less complicated than MoO2, so I'd recommend that as a better beginner experience. If you like it, certainly try MoO2, or the recent remake. MoO2 is an excellent game, but nowhere near as newbie friendly. MoO2 lacks the elegance of the original.
@GrahamZ: I agree to a point, but it's very very oldschool - I don't know if it's as approachable to a total newcomer in 2017 because of that, even if it's simpler. IMO MoO2 is still really simple - at least compared to suggestions above for games like Civ6.
Through GoG MoO and MoO2 might actually come bundled together, if I recall - in which case they can give both MoO and MoO2 a try without sweating it!
Never played any turn based games myself (and I've been gaming on PC for 20 years now).
Started playing XCOM a few days ago (been sitting in my Steam library since 2015, but wanted to see if I like it and if I should get XCOM2 with Humble Monthly bundle) and I have to say that so far I really enjoy it. Of course, seeing as I never played anything like it, I'm going at it on Easy, but am into the third month now and had only a few complicated missions (but managed to keep everyone alive by saving frequently). The only thing I don't get is that every guide online claims that certain enemies start to appear in certain months, but I had to fight a lot of Mutons, some Drones and one Cyberdisk in April, so not sure what's that about.
