what are thegames that i should be waiting for ? action and 1st person shooters

Genesis and Origin are synonyms of eachother. He may have very weirdly misnamed Project Origin - I can see how that makes sense, in a twisted sort of way.

A google search brings up nothing but bible quotes for F.E.A.R Genesis, anyway, and the simple fact that we haven't heard anything about it proves that he's crazy!

Yeah, it's called Project Origin. The F.E.A.R name is owned by another company and they may choose to make a sequel that has nothing to do with Monolith (sort of like how Far Cry 2 has nothing to do with Crytek).

So there may actually be F.E.A.R 2, but Project Origin is the proper sequel.

I'm not sure what you mean.

Monolith doesn't own the name 'F.E.A.R'. The company that owns it can use the name and make F.E.A.R 2.

And if they did, it would mean F.E.A.R 2 and Project Origin would both exist, and would both be sequels to F.E.A.R.

One would be made by the original developers of F.E.A.R while one would not, but the one which is not made by the original developers would hold the F.E.A.R name, which technically makes it more of an official sequel than Project Origin.

Ignorant is not a word I would use to describe myself.

Don't call other people ignorant if you aren't sure what you are talking about. And especially don't call other people ignorant if you are going to post proof that proves you wrong and makes you look like the ignorant one.

Monolith Productions has created FEAR. Viviendi was the publisher, they now own the FEAR name. Monolith is not allowed to use the name "FEAR" anymore but they got the rights to everything else, like the characters and stuff. So Monolith can create a game that expands upon the FEAR story. Vivendi can't, their sequal will basically be a completely different game.

Monolith started a contest a while back, where people could vote for how the new game should be called and "Project Origin" won. So the sequal to FEAR is actually called Project Origin. FEAR 2 will have nothing to do with FEAR, it'll just be a random game, created by a random developer.

Anyway, i'm looking forward to Mass Effect, Stalker: Clear Sky, Hulk, F.E.A.R Project Origin, Half-Life 2: Episode 3 and Left4Dead
