alright well the best under 300 is probably going to be a gts 100 or an hd 2600xt. (bit of a standoff here). but heres my recommendation to you (band believe me this is sound advice). before the harlots and heretics come chanting 4770 on this thread get a 450 watt or a 500 watt for like $25 and then the world is your shooting gallery. use your unspenty funds on a gpu.
HD 4770 is sure a nice card tough i wonder if the Recommend Certification run for 300W PSU ? anyway it should run even tough if it go Against Certification

450 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors recommended (550 Watt and four 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX technology in dual mode)Newegg

450 Watt should be ok. the quoted newegg links above were good options. the 4770 actually doesn't require 2 6pin pcie connector, just one.Not lookin for anything too fancy. The comp is somewhat old and is just using the lousy onboard video. How bout my options around $100? Preferably not changing the 300 watt power source...SameOldSaints
This card will run on a 300w psu no problem, though it will take up 2 slots. Great card for the Price/Performance.

I just checked out the link you posted above and if there is no PCi-e slot on that MB the card I suggested will not work.
Any other suggestions then? Would the description of my comp say PCI-e if they were?SameOldSaints
Open it up and check and see what the slot looks like, you can tell them apart by the way it looks although you might want to try looking up your mobo.
