I was looking around the internet to find a good performance video card that will meet or exceed 100% of games recomended graphics card, but also is under $100. So far, my best buy is a NVIDIA GeForce 9600 for $99.99. Please focus on these questions... -Is this a good buy? -Is there a better one out there under $100? -Is there another one equally as good but cheaper? Thanks!

alright i walked down to my local supplier sweet 11 xfx hd 4770s for $110 XD shame though thats the best price they have atm. up here a gtx 260 is $400!
ive seen gtx 260's in the 160-180 mark. Dont waste your 100 bucks on a low end card like that. you will kick yourself a week later. Save up and get the 260

ha, good catch. This just reinforces the 4770 as being the best card in the $100 price range, seeing as it beats the 9600gt's older brother. And by the way, don't get a GTX 260. It's built on older architecture, had a 55nm (is that right? or 65nm?) proc, and has GDDR3 rather then 5, memory. Not to mention it's ATI.

BlackKat he sed "up here" meaning north, which is Canada. The GTX 260 are still in the mid-high 300's im assuming, or have they dropped since I last checked (canadian)
