Top right now: Sony, Panasonic,Sharp, pioneer, Samsung,
Middle: Hitachi. Toshiba(almost as good as the top)
Bottom: all other brands. Though some ppl are quite happy playing movies and games on Vizios.
Vizio are made by a Chinese company if I am not mistaken so yeah you get what you pay for.eisenhiem
Vizio was founded and is currently headquartered in Sourthern California. Regardless of its base of operations - being American or East Asian or whatever is basically irrelevant. It's an okay TV for the price, but don't expect anything fantastic.
I own a Vizio and do all my gaming on it. It's fantastic. However it is my first HDTV and I don't know a lot about them.DiabeticDoodAs long as you're happy that's all that matters, like i heard someone say, as long as there isn't a neighbor who watches TV 10 feet away from you you won't know the difference  This is for all the Dynex, Sylvania buyers out there lol
Well remember that Microsoft selected Samsung TV's as their official output tv's for all their gaming stations in stores etc.. Sony is good too but I've noticed that Sony tv's make PS3 games look better than 360 games....Samsung is my usual choice and I say buy what is best.JohnD212
I highly doubt Microsoft choose Samsung over Sony because of the quality of the tv. Its simply bad business advertising your product and your opponents product on the same kiosk. LG should be placed only slightly below the top tier because its better than most middle pack.
Best: Samsung, Sharp.
Middle: Toshiba, LG.
Worst: Almost anything else.
I am getting a 32-37" Samsung or Sharp HDTV in a few months. You can't really notice a difference between middle and best, but the best one's I listed are generally made better and a bit last longer. Unless you have super-good eyes you won't notice a difference. Any of the brands I listed are good.
