OK, so I don't know if anyone uses Sony earbuds around here, but the ones that I currently use, which are these, have the best quality for all of my music that I listen to on my IPod. However, one of the biggest problems I have, with these earbuds, is that they keep falling off, even when I'm just sitting down.

Now I want a change so that I can wrap them around my ears, but my problem is that I don't want to lose the quality that I have with these earbuds. Does anyone know of a good wrap-around earbuds that produce the same quality in sound as these ones do? If so, can you please point me in the right direction? Thank you for your help! Any advice or help is much appreciated! :)

Looks like you have plain earbuds, if you dont mind in ears than they sound much better from sound isolation, and stick into your ears longer.

I have these btw in the link, they sound decent for the money, but if your willing to spend a bit more than you'd be in for a surprise by much better sound quality.

It sounds like you just want a decent pair of earbuds that won't fall out. Consider the Adidas Sennheiser PMX 680 or 680i (the latter with iPod controls. Great earbuds and they won't fall out. If that's too much, alternatively you could try the Philips Actionfit headphones. I cannot vouch for their quality, but they are well-rated and much less expensive. Good luck, Boz

I want earbuds that don't fall out and not lose the sound quality that I have from my old earbuds, not just plan earbuds.

But your old earphones aren't special, so a reasonable set of earbuds will offer better quality.

I don't believe you get the idea of what I want, do you? Let me tell you one more time.

I want a pair of earbuds that do not fall out and do not lose the quality of the sound that I have from my my earbuds. And don't ever tell me again that my old earphones are not special, because for one, that's bulls*** and two, you and I have different ideas on what sound quality is, so no, unless you lived in my body and have my ears, you won't understand.

Now that I've said this, I need exactly what I'm describing. Some of the other posters in this thread have given me recommendations and names for the headphones, which I will look into. So thank you to those guys! Much appreciated! :)

You'd be surprised at how resilient IEM's are from falling out. They're much better at staying in your ears than the earbud design of your current set.

That being said, what Boz recommended (the Sennheiser PMX series) should treat you well also.

I think Metamania may not understand the difference between earbuds and IEMs (in-ear monitors), which is understandable since the terms are often used interchangably. Earbuds, which you (Metamania) have now, sit on the inner structure of your ears and point sound into your ear canal, kind of like the original Game Boy headphones. By contract, IEMs like the ones Bikouchu35 listed sit inside and conform to the ear canal, making them more difficult to dislodge when you are exercising or performing other vigorous activity. The JVC Marshmallow's are an inexpensive IEM that might meet your needs if you're just planning on doing some lifting or light exercise, since they fit snugly inside your ear canal. I'd still prefer the behind-the-neck for activities like running, though. Good luck, Boz

I have those sony earbuds and they are horrible! Absolute garbage. Gave them away to a friend. I prefer IEMS so I'll throw some recommendations down. http://www.amazon.com/JBuds-Earbuds-style-Headphones-Tablet-Kindle/dp/B005VEZ58C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335636284&sr=8-1http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-IMAGE-S4-Noise-Isolating-Headphones/dp/B001V9LPT4/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1335636325&sr=1-6 Both offer great sound, but have questionable durability, which depends on the individual.

I tried to tell him they were just average earphones you get free with cheap mp3 players but he wouldn't listen.

How good(for IEMS) are the headphones I listed? I'm fairly new to audio so I'm always trying to find better options.

I haven't used either so I can't comment, but they're certainly an improvement.

S4s has good isolation, comfy, and tight fit once you flip it. I'd say is worth $60.
