Im lookin to buy like 8 gigs of DDR3 memory, to upgrade from DDR2. what is the best? and what mobo is nescessary? thanks

Depends on the motherboard/processor you're going to be using. It's like asking, what's the best turbo I can get for a car? No one can give you the right answer because we don't know which car you're taking about. Same reasoning applies to this.

If ur asking this, I really doubt ur gonna use 8GB of ram, and the quad 9550 wont utilise it as well as a core I7/5/3. ddr2 was just meant for core2 and quad.

It only comes in a 6gb kit so you'll have to buy 2 and leave 2 modules out. Oh and if you want the most out of it remember to get sufficient cooling for OCing, i think you can get water blocks for ram somewhere. Oh and 8gb is a waste the max that's worth having is 4gb.

Though if you want real perofrmance take a look at Rambus's offerings.Their top model has twice the bandwidth of DDR3.
