Best/Most Played FPS right now?

I just got a new rig so I would like to grab a good multiplayer FPS to play on it. I've still got my old FPS like Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142(are they still played alot?)

Been thinking about grabbing Battlefield BC2, but I just wanted to check and make sure there is not anything better.

2. TeamFortress 2.

3. Counter strike source

4. Day of defeat source

5. Call of duty 4 ( mw2 i suppose also)

6. BFBC2 ( pretty fun, game kinda ends around level 19out of 50).

In my opinion it would be CoD4. I've played all of the other big fps titles and CoD4 is the only one that I keep coming back to.

BFBC2....best FPS I've played and I'm currently at lvl 29

According to steam Modern Warfare 2 is the most played game, but it's obviously not the best.

Team Fortress 2 would be my choice

Unreal Tournament 3 and Team Fortress 2 are both really popular.

I've been playing Shattered Horizon recently, it's pretty fun. I don't know how it holds up outside of free weekends though.

I bought TF2 the year it released. I've hit 240hrs played so far since late 2007.

I bought BF:BC2 in March this year. After 4 months I've logged 204hrs played....

Two things explain this:

I joined a clan to play Battlefield right (this is my first battlefield experience)

The depth of realtime tactics, accuracy AND reaction time.

I can't really go back to TF2 at this point. When I do the game feels basic, boring and repetitive.

I know how you feel man, nothing really compares to BC2 with a great squad.

My friends and I literally carry a whole team sometimes because we're the only ones arming the M-coms. We rarely lose too.
