BEWARE!!! before buying.

I'm just warning all the people that are contemplating buying GoW for PC. This game works for some, andnotfor others. I would advise that noone buy it until a patch comes out. ALOT of people are posting crashing issues....and even the people that can play the game are complaining of stuttering issues. Please don't flame..... It's kind of like a 50/50 chance the game will work....and what's even crazier is that EPIC hasn't made any statements that they're working on it. :(

Bro, I've updated mobo, video, CPU, and audio drivers, as well as ran as admin, Run off of Starup.exe.....nothing seems to work. I've also tried to run in windowed mode, but nothing happens :(

The game is extremely well optimized in everything but the amount of RAM it consumes. I mean, it's insane! They should've put the minimum requirements for RAM to 2gb and not 1gb, because the game completely eats y 1.25gb of RAM alive and spits it back out. I constantly get stuttering which destroys the smooth framerates I usually get from the game. onemic

I know thats the only problem I have when running the game, I guess everything can't be perfect, the game looks great even on my X1600, which amazed me.

You should be fine depending on your other system specifications, but as mentioned before the game is well optimized so there should not be much of a problem, I will probably order another gig of ram for better performance.

I think this would be expected, this happens with the majority of games out there on release.. The reason why we hear it from titles like Bioshock or GoW more is more people actually purchase it..

I've seen some lagging during the singleplayer campaign but nothing too terrible.

Edit: Just wanted to add that this thread title sucks. Why couldn't the Thread Kreator at least put the name of the game in the thread title? It's annoying when people make thread titles that tell us nothing as to what the thread may be about.

My thought's exactly. I'll never get a 360 mainly because XBL does everything Steam does. Steam's free and I've never gotten "red rings" from downloading something from there. *knocks on wood*

stupid 360 with it's "Dead Rising" God I want that game so bad. My friends won't let me play it because I never get off the game, his 360 sploded, and his brother was like "well now you won't play Dead Rising when you get the chance!"

That may be true, but I've yet to run into a problem with any other game...I run COD4 on all max settings, Crysis Demo ran fine, F.E.A.R. runs perfect, HL2, CSS, CoH,ETQW all run fine on my comp, but this is the only piece of S**T I've ran into I can't play.

The OP is right. The game crashes about a minute after starting, though it's not a fatal crash. With my firewall on I was able to stop application error reporting from executing, and the game continued to run. He's also right about the stuttering which tends to occur as monsters spawn. Otherwise, I was getting way over 50 fps.

I finished the game a few hours ago and let's say it wasn't for me. I found it mind-numbingly boring.

I doubt that many people are having issues. Im one who bought it and yes i have a top of the line rig and i can sign into live and play maxed out at 1680x1050 with vsync on without any hiccups.

As people say the people you'll see complaining about issues typically are the minority unless extreme situations. Just looks bad because you have a bunch of people talking. But when you factor in these games usually sell quite a few copies that when you have like 50-100 people ranting that's almost no one when you consider how many likely bought it.
