Yeah, it does. I used to run BFBC2 on fully maxed settings @ 60fps, never dropping below 40 (and my computer is hardly a beast). Since my switch to Windows 7, I have had to change some settings and play with them until I could get it to that level of performance. Despite the tweaks, the game still looks better than the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions, meaning it still looks very good.
If you go into My Documents on Windows 7, there's a folder called BFBC2 where your settings are kept. Open your "settings.ini" file, back up its contents in a word or txt document. I'll paste my settings here that let me run the game and you could try them. I'm sure you know this already, but there are lots of other settings here you can play with that aren't in the game's normal options screen.
Sidenote: I was reading on a forum that for some odd reason, Windows 7 and BFBC2 soundquality/bloom/dxversion/antialiasing/anisotropicfiltering are factors that can hugely affect performance for somer reason. Therefore, you'll notice in my settings that they are cranked down a little bit. On XP, these were maxed out. Again, play with these settings to find out what works best, but make sure to close the game each time, because the changes made to the settings.ini file do not take place until the game has been restarted.
