BFG 9800X2 and Power Supply

Gonna purchase BFG 9800X2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814143128I need know if my HIPRO 700W Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817174028 will beable run the card with the 6 to 8pin convertor supplied from BFG. I need know if the 6 pin have atleast 40amp rating. Thank you

Oh you're so lucky you live in the US. It cost $800 in Europe.

Requires a combined 12v rating of 40A. Just add the 12v rails together. The psu you showed has 4x16A rails so you're ok... not hard to figure out. All amp/watts are listed on the sticker.

I just noticed though, that psu is a deactivated item?

hey how u doing man i just want to know is it that each rail must have 40amp are when u add all the rails u must get the 40amps because i have this termaltake 850 watt and it gives me (12v@30amps)*2 and (12v@18amps)*2

Did you have to revive an old thread to ask this question?

The total +12v output of your power supply must be 40a in order to safely run the 9800GX2, it doesn't particularly matter which rail is which (and I'm pretty sure that those 18a rails are devoted to the CPU/motherboard rather than PCI-e connectors). But you can't just add up rails on most power supplies either - all those +12v rails will have a maximum output rating.

well it has two 6pin & two 8pin pci-e connectors and it says 2x18A and 2x30A max so i want to know if u think that will work please??
