My E7200 was showing a ~10C difference between cores, so I reinstalled the heatsink and thermal grease, making sure to spread it evenly. When I started my computer again, the temperatures were a bit lower, but the difference in core temperatures remained. Anyone know whats going on? Are the temperature sensors messed up?

What app are running to put load on? Most apps will be using CPU 0 more by default.

I'm using orthos, but even when idle there is still a big difference. And Core 1 is hotter than core 0.

Same for me, Core1 is always 2-3C hotter than Core0. But a 10C difference is kinda strange.

I guess my heatsink is still off-centered. Anyone have any tips for installing push-pin heatsinks?

Try Speedfan and Core Temp. As for installing the cpu heatsink, i just push 1 pin until i hear a "click" sound and then i move on to the diagonally opposite pin. That's about it.

When I took my heatsink off, the three lines that contained thermal material that came with it were nearly intact. Is it possible that my heatsink is still not situated properly, even though it feels very secure. My idle temperatures are 30C and 40C, load temps are 50C and 60C.
