Replacements from suppliers usually take around 28 days (4 weeks) to be replaced.

 Regards, Overclockers UK

thats the email i got from OCUK they have sent my card off to HIS for a replacement ................... but 28 days :o is too long without pc gaming..........i have a X1900 GT which is now discontinued so i might get a X1950 PRO.

so im really stuck here. I can get a 8800 GTS 320mb for £200 and once my replacement card comes i can sell that for £100.

or just wait for 4 weeks............with out PC GAMING !!!!!!!!!!!!............i do have a life i do go out etc but PC gaming rulez :(...........I was hopeing my X1900 GT will last me till the end of this year.

my mum said OCUK have to state the maximum number of days it might take and i might get it back within a week or 2...........

So guys what shall i do wait or 8800 GTS ??????

Which ever i do i want the card to last me a good while i dont care about what settings aslong as it runs the games.....

Beats the time I sent my MSI card in for replacement - then the replacement they sent me back didn't even work. I had to send *that* one back for a third card before I had a working MSI card. Of course, by the time the 2nd card didn't work, I bought a newer evga card and was very happy, so now I just have a (working) msi card sitting in the closet.

Yeah, I must have missed that when you said it in your original post...Here's what I would do: Buy a £30 card that would let the computer boot and then WAIT for the other card to be sent back, whilst finishing all my work.

Overclockers are good on replacements. I had a faulty Netgear RangeMax router, and it was replaced within a week.

I don't think it will take the complete 28 days, two weeks more than likely. But it's some good time to get out do stuff.

After the wait, your going to get a better gaming experience.

So just buy one then, since it looks a lot like you're waiting for someone to say go ahead and get one...

If you cant go without games for a month, you really need to take a step back and reevaluate your life.  I am not trying to be mean, but seriously man.

To be more constructive, however, why dont you wait until march and get a Geforce 8600 Ultra?
