Hi guys and gals. I'm calling on anyone who can help me with this dilemma. My PS3 was just working fine last night while playing MGS4. Tonight, I tried hooking up my PS3 via component cables to an SDTV so I can play PS2 games on it. I left my HDMI cable still plugged to my LCD HDTV. Both TV's are Samsungs. I pressed the source button on my SDTV's remote to component cable and it didnt work. I tried using composite, component, hdmi and neither LCD HDTV or SDTV is reading the signal. I'm not so much worried about my TVs because they work fine. My Xbox 360 works and my Nintendo Wii works but I cant get a signal from my PS3 to any TV. Is there a 24 hour number I can call Sony? Have any of you guys had this problem? I'm so angry right now. Sigh... I really need your help. Thanks in advance.

power everything down, take out the cables and power back on with cables in.

That worked for me before. Signal gets stuck with HD sometimes. I forget what it is called.

Did you make sure you changed the ps3's display settings? Ex. For the SDTV switch to component. Thats the only thing i can think of besides calling Sony

Did you try restting the PS3? You have to do a reset if you switch to a different video connection on a different TV.

With the PS3 on standby (red light on). Hold down the power button until you hear two beeps.

If this was the PS2 i would've said plug in a composite cable, enable the "YPbPr" setting, and then switch back to Component cable, can't remember if the PS3 does it the same way as i configured my nephews PS3 to use Component

I've just done this. I spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong and you solved it for me in 5 mins. Thank you. Tom
