Ok I am getting my computer soon and I am pretty rest assured in that I know how to put it together and everything. However I have no idea what to do in BIOS, since I have never used it and I can't find a guide online. Is it just very straight-forward or will the manuals tell me? Or do I need to learn from another source or by experience? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

a more specific information comes with your motherboard, but if you want to know a little more about bios, here

(even if it's in a more generic way)

The basic functions of BIOS are pretty straightforward, I think. Mostly Enable/disable some mobo functions (Of course, you'd have to look in the mobo manual to know what all these functions are). For the most part, defaults will work for new builds.

aahh, ok, well , there's nothing to it, bios have specific functions depending on motherboard makers, even on the same brand mobos, sometimes bios are not the same, you can customize functions like what is going to boot first HDD OR DVD/CD, just as an example when you install windows you will need to enter bios and change that to dvd/cd, so it boot from the xp or vista cd.
