I downloaded the bioshock demo thinking I was going to have a lot of trouble playing the game. It actually ran not to bad.

PC Specs - 3.4GHz P4 HT "Socket 478" - 2GB Ram - 7800GS OC @ 470MHz Core, 1321MHz Memory "AGP!" Ultra 500watt PS

Benchmarks - Fraps

Game Settings:

Resolution - 1280x1024
Windowed Mode Off
Vertical Sync - On
Shadow Maps - On
High Detail Post Processing - On
High Detailed Shaders - On
Real Time Reflection - On
Distortion - On
Force Global Lighting - Off
Direct X10 Surfaces - Not Supported

Frames: 32570 - Time: 30.85 minutes - Avg: 17.592 - Min: 0 - Max: 73

Some might say 17 FPS? I'm sure this will go to about 23 or more if I drop down to 1024x768 and turn off some of the options. After installing the game I just turned up the Res to 1280x1024. I left the rest to the default. Game looks awesome. If you can play Oblivion on medium to high setting then you wont have a problem playing this one.

Well I hope this info is some insight for some of you with an older system like mine.

Fraps is a bad way to benchmark...It lowers the performence of the game.

No it doesn't. Only when you are recording video.
