It manages to be both a tricky, exciting action game, a fascinating creation of an enclosed world and a deep enquiry about what it means to be human - a trick most action movies and books fail to achieve. It also plays with you at every stage, confounding your expectations and your control over events repeatedly, from your control over your weapons, Plasmids, plot, self...

And this is where we have to stop ourselves - we don't want to spoilt it. What we can tell you is you'll be playing this game for months to come, exchanging story elements to build up the bigger picture, and arguing about what it all means. Come, join the argument, play the impossible game.

Also 95% in PC Gamer. Cant wait to get my hands on this game.

I suspect GS will give it a solid 9. (if not 9.5)

gamespot probably give bioshock an 8.5 because its on the PC. Then give it a 9.5 for x360.

they might not also give it a 10 because in the end although it is going to be a great! new and awesome game!

Most reviewers take off a little for no multiplayer w/ high replay value

although i think thats crap because not all games are made to be played online

personally I love both games online and also games dedicated to giving you a reallllll

single player experience.

The game isn't out till next month, so my suspicions are that the game devs allowed these mags to get first reviews of this game in exchange for a high score. This sort of shameless corruption goes on with big magazines. PSM2 gave one of the worst games in history, Driv3r, 9/10 and they got to review it a month before the release of the game. Reviewers typically get copies early, because articles are typically written 3 months before they are published. Sorry to spoil yourconspiracy theory, but if it was a bad game, it'd still have gotten a bad rating.

Haven't you ever heard of review copies? When it comes to hugely anticipated games, reviewers are almost always given a 99.9%-finished copy of the game just before it goes gold so that magazine and game site writers can play the game thoroughly enough to review the game before the game comes out instead of after. My suspicions are that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

I was excited about this game. Then lost interest and now I can't freaken wait! It is going be the best game since Half Life. It is going to make you make hear wrenching decisions.

The game is going to get to us. Get in out heads it is going to be freakinamazing!
