BioShock or Far Cry

I want a new fps to wait for the release of Crysis:D But i don't know which oft hese to get. BioShock quite needs some Hardware but i really like the Gameplay of it. The question here is if it will run smoothly the whole game through? I know i should have played Far Cry already but i never got to it. Now it's quite old but still looks attractive. Is it worth it should i better get BioShock?

My specs are:

P4 processor HT technology

3.40 gh

1gb ram

Gforce 7600GT 256mb

Realtek High Definition Audio 7.1

Well you have Extreme Edition P4 correct? the min req is a 2.4 if I remember corrrectly.
Id say go for BioShock. you meet the Req.

frankly, i think farcry is super mediocre, it opens fairly well, but just goes crazy downhill - but the game is super cheap now, so at the cost you can get it for, it's worth it

The game falls apart as soon as the stupid tri gens come into play.

you have only a gig of memory.. so id guess far cry would play better then bioshock.. but if you can wait a few more weeks-bioshock will cost less..so maybe get far cry for now..play it.. then bioshock will cost less maybe buy the collectors ed.

1 more thing.. if you go bioshock it will try and make ya install beta vid card drivers..i will not install beta nothing.so i did not play bioshock demo or have the game..not sure when i will get it..but will some time and when its cheap..

? Bioshock runs without a hitch on 1gb PC's.

Far Cry is pure fun (except for a few indoor levels mid game), so I'd say get that first if you have to choose between the 2, but I can't see why you can't get both.

Bioshock has great settings, storyline and atmosphere, but the gameplay is just average.

Bioshock for sure bro.you could hit like medium settings with that rig.And you have the exetream edition right? isent that a dual core P4? but even if its not you will still be able to play it pritey well.

:Pthat was a nice try! He's absolutely right however, the Trigens are a gameplay catastrophe that ruins all the effort the devs put into developing an advanced AI. They're easy to kill really, a well-timed grenade or a clip in the face and they'll go down, but they're just fast chargers and about as dumb as zombies in Doom 3. The Crytek guys themselves declared they regret the inclusion of these ridiculous monsters, and if you've watched footage from Crysis' late-game in the snow (check out Eurogamer if you haven't), you'll see the aliens have an intriguing way of fighting, far away from the boarish Trigens.

same here....there are no strategy whatsoever..just plain killing...

bioshock,if im not mistaken,you have great replayability,so u can survive longer.

but far cry,after finishing it,i think thats it..nothing much

Bioshock if u want to play a linear game and far cry for a complex where is a BIG world with trees and much to do plus very nice graphics on high detail........with ur spec u will ru it on high detail

Bioshock ur traped in a city and ur always in a building.....etc...

Both are great i'd say.

Get Far Cry. Its possibly one of the greatest shooters in the past 10 years and while its a bit dated, the art direction looks stunning and imo way better than Bioshock.

Bioshock is a ripoff if you want my opinion. I beat the game in 10 hours or so on medium difficulty, and everything in the game is A. a gimmick or B. ripped completely off of System Shock 2. Plasmids? Other than shooting from your left hand they are about as generic as you can get. Dont get me wrong: its a solid shooter and you will have fun, but compared to Far Cry this game is average at best. The only really fun thing is taking on a big daddy after a while.

Easily far cry, bioshock is extremely overrated.

And i actually enjoyed fighting the trigens in Far Cry, so i enjoyed every part of far cry, lucky me ;)

Well yes,Far Cry is one of 3 GREAT games (Half Life 2,Doom 3 and Far Cry),

U should definitely try it and if nothing than because of awesome graphics,no game today have bether graphics than any of those 3 games.Even if they are released long ago.

Every game today uses BAD TRICKS,for example if u ever looked in water in Rainbow Six Vegas u would se that THERE IS NO REFLEXION there is just random image NOT REFLECTING ANYTHING,that just sucks.For example u are looking at tree,and there is water,there is no reflection of that tree in the water but image of building or smthing(there is no builing around).THAT SUCKS!

Yeah, the game definitely took a turn for the worst when those damned stupid mutants were introduced. I still think it's a great game though. I'd have to choose Far Cry over BioShock.

Ok, ok, I got it! As Far Cry is available for free i can get both. I think im gonna enjoy Bioshock a little more though. And now that i know its gonna work on my rig im gonna head to the store and ****ing get it! I cant wait:twisted:!!!!
