In my last thread, I asked if I should buy Assassin's Creed or Mass Effect and almost everyone said ME. Now, I'm thinking between Bioshock and Mass Effect. Mass Effect(according to Gamespot) is better in the PC than the 360 and Bioshock(according to gamecriticsawards.com) is the 2007 Game of the Year. So please help me guys...

I haven't played ME but everyone else is probably going to tell you to get that. Fair call, it is meant to be great. But really can't you just get both? Someone else was saying they saw Bioshock online i think for $15 (US)

It is a really awesome and cinematic game but if you can't decide for yourself between the two of them get both. If you have made 2 threads about ME you obviously want it.

IF you HAD to chose, i'd say Bioshock. Even though I haven't gotten through it. The atmosphere is awesome and it should be pretty cheap by now. I've played both, Bioshock is a better experience. However they both seem to drag out quite a bit.

I believe you'll get a bigger kick out of Bioshock's story and general atmosphere than you will in Mass Effect. If you really take the time to explore everything and collect the plasmids then you can turn Bioshock into a 15-20 hour game easily. Then again, maybe I just spent too much time enjoying the little details and that's why it took so long.

It's your call. But I vote Bioshock.

I have yet to play Bioshock to be honest but having already played the 360's version of ME, I'd have to go with ME... It shld take about 30-40hrs to complete your first play through... I am not a fan of FPSes so I guess my recommendation is a little biased haha... whatever it is your call...

System Shock 2 is the masterpiece, BioShock is the copy+paste.

i have only played about 5 hours of mass effect, but it has the makings of a great rpg. i'd go with that over bioshock, though bioshock is quite good as well.

I have played both. If I would have a choice between the two, it would be Mass Effect.

I played Mass Effect and Bioshock on the 360. I know ME was rated .5 higher on the computer than on the 360. Bioshock was rated the same on pc as it was on 360. But I can still say with no hesitation, get Mass Effect. That game is a lot more fun in my opinion. The only thing you have to consider is that Bioshock is a FPS and ME is an action RPG. If you're not into RPG aspects, then get Bioshock, no question.

I've played both. Mass effect is by far the superior game when it comes to story, dialog and atmosphere. Imo, of course.

Or let me put it this way. I want to play ME at least one or two times more, because the playthroughs will give me different powers to play around with and different dialog-choices depending on my alignment. I'll never touch BS again, re-playability of that game is nonexistent.

I've played through them both on 360, and now ME on pc... ME has a better storyline by far and the acting and voices are perfect. Bioshock was fun, but very repetitive, and masse ffect has amore fun battle system and upgrades and choose your own adventure type of feel...

I'd say ME for the win.

why don't you get one these games and play it instead of constantly posting which game is better threads.

Both are great games and you can't go wrong with either one. ME is RPG with with third person shooter elements. Bioshock is a FPS with RPG elements.
