I know these games are not nearly similar, but I'm not comparing them. I've to choose one of them to buy it because I can get only 1 Right now. Thaks for your opinion:)
I would say portal is great value as part of the orange box ,buy on its own...no so much. If you can only buy the individual portal, I would say buy bioshock
the problem is that I cant buy the orange box .. because when it came out I already had HL2 and HL2 ep 1 and now I have ep 2 also so it is kind of nonsence for me to buy the orange box, so it is between single portal and bioshock
lol i sort of had that problem. i owned the hl2 and ep1. i just bought the orange box and made a new steam acc and sole my old steam acc to a friend at school. but what ever possesed you to buy ep 2 on it own??!!??
Both have great, mysterious stories in my opinion, so I'd say get both. But just in case you've got Windows Vista and intergrated sound... Portal.
And btw, stop telling him how there's no point of buying Portal alone and he should get the Orange Box. He already said that he already has HL2, Ep. 1, Ep. 2.
I bought ep2 by its own because I've many games in my account so I'm not thinking on leaving it ..., I suppose that you are right about portal alone is not worth buying, but I'm not gonna get the orange box .. so I think its bioshock then..

I personally think Team Fortress 2 was a waste. I don't care for it. I'd much rather get UT3 for multiplayer.If you have all the Half Life 2's then can't you buy Bioshock at the store and later buy Portal through steam? I'd have to look through Steam to see if it's for sale there. You have to get it someday though... great game.But you should get Bioshock first.

Who friggen cares how long it is? CoD4 is one of the shortest FPSs and recent history, but that doesn't matter because it delivers quality over quantity. Portal does the same.
Without doubt Portal gets my vote The few enemies there are in Portal are a lot more fun than the enemies in BS... and just as varied Portal lasts about 3 hours (more if you include the bonus maps and the maps you can find around the net)... BS lasts about an hour of boredom before you start wondering why you wasted money on that Portal is one of the funniest games I've played in a long time... Who doesn't love that ending :) Unfortunately Portal has one big weakness: Steam :(
