This'll probably get some rage but whether you love or hate this game, there's no dnying this fact.
A lot of MMO's are problematic at launch, I agree with this but SWTOR really takes the cake.
If you look past the bugs which are many and some serious, you start to see how many things simply weren't implemented in time for launch.
The AH is a mess, no bidding system for one thing.
The economy is all over the place.
No combat logs????????
No customizable UI
No third partys mods etc, could be fine if they'd at least bothered with own versions of the most popular ones such as a damage meter.
MAJOR faction imbalance, republic fleet and worlds are desolate in comparison to empire.
MAJOR class imbalance, several classes are seriously handicapped in PvP, and the talent trees are not balanced for each individual class.
Go to Ilum as republic, engage in world PvP and you'll see exactly what I mean with the two previous above statements...
This game HAD beta testing, yet as a subscriber you FEEL like you are still playing a beta-game... if this was stilla beta-game I wouldn't complain... because Beta's are supposed to be problematic. But when I pay 60 bucks and a subscription fee I don't expect to be a beta-tester anymore.
To make matters even worse the customer-support is atrocious.
I was stuck in a texture bug and for some reason /stuck didn't work... made a ticket, logged off, came back online, stills tuck... ticket closed. Called customer support, they hung up on me because I criticised them. Went to the forums to ventilate perfectly legitimate complaints about the game AND the customer support. Thread closed. This is ONE instance among many.
I don't get why so many ppl are sticking up for this game, yes I'll admit the game in itself is NOT terrible, it has redeeming qualities but the fact is that this game should not have been released in the state it's in. Why is it ok nowadays to release half-finished products in time for christmas and then have players go through and extended period of beta-testing at FULL-price?
