I haven't played a single game from either - but I'm going to say that BioWare is going to win this very easily.
You should alter the poll details. Bethesda didn't develop the Fallout series. They can take credit - or rather responsibility - for Fallout 3, but no other Fallout games.
Bethesda is a joke, anyway. I don't like BioWare's RPGs, but they're lightyears ahead of Bethesda's.

Not an RPG fan ?
Nope.
You see those RPGs I rated in my profile? Fallout 2 is there because I accidentally rated it a 1.0 when checking out the GS page, and I couldn't let that pass. The others just happen to be ones that my parents bought out of impulse when I was younger.

Yeah. Come on, Gogators, you gave credit to the guys who turned a Black Isle masterpiece series into an FPSs with RPG elements glued on! What the hell were you thinking?
bioware: creators of awesome rpgs.
bethesda: creators of absolutely nothing good in recent years but were pretty cool back in the days when they did terminator games and daggerfall and arena.
btw, "bethesda: fallout series" is wrong in so many ways.
[QUOTE="tanerb"]easily bethesda. morrowind is way better than any rpg bioware came withweirjf
 good one!!
wait, you weren't joking?
no i wasnt. i believe bioware did not do anything good after BG2. their rpgs are way shallow compared to bethesdas, with no replay value. i played morrowind for nearly a year. mass effect took 1 week to get bored.

and some would say oblivion has no play value. Bioware Constantly makes games that are cinematic in style you may or may not like that. a game that is a real epic (story wise) should never take longer than a couple days to complete. while oblivion is more like a boring, fight this monster, rescue this dude, shut 16 gates of oblivion. The whole time i was playing oblivion it was like playing an MMORPG, without the PVP, and with the annoying guards who would try to arrest me every 5 seconds.

oblivion is the very definition of shallow. i know - i looked it up!
A better match would be Bioware vs Square.
And Square wins that battle.
J-REAL
Square as in what? Square Enix? because if it is SE then LOL. Joke of the year.
If it isn't then I never heard about Square o_0

Square is the former name of Square Enix, they changed the name around the time they released Final Fantasy 10[QUOTE="DanielDust"][QUOTE="J-REAL"]A better match would be Bioware vs Square.

No problem, I realized I forgot the last part of the original name, it wasn't just Square, It was Squaresoft.xP
lol, guards try to arrest you because you committed a crime. Oblivion may not be as good as morrowind but gameplay is much better than mass effect. if you think oblivion is boring, what about the side missions im mass effect? they must have designed them in 10 minutes.tanerb
True, but look at Oblivion's dialogs, story, combat system, animations, world, at how over populated it's towns are (6 people on the streets and it's crowded), voice acting (tho I have nothing against the actors :)).
No it's not boring and lacks in substance, that would be an understatement.I've had fun playing Bethseda's games...yes, even Oblivion. But I've had a complete blast playing a lot of BioWare's games.
Definitely BioWare, for me.
Bioware... by at least 1,000 lightyears.TenP
Agreed, and listing bethesda as responsible for the fallout series is wrong on many many levels.
First of all: the poll is misleading. Bethesda is only responsible for developing Fallout 3. The first two games in the series were developed by Interplay. Do your homework if you're going to compare two long-lived, heavyweight developers like BioWare and Bethesda.
That being said, I prefer BioWare by far. I truly despise The Elder Scrolls series and Oblivion was no exception. I'm not a very big fan of Mass Effect either but BioWare has admittedly been responsible for some truly classic games like Baldur's Gate and Knights of the Old Republic.

Eh meh.. I'm a pretty big RPG fan but I've kinda lost faith in both:
Betheda: Defiantly lot more technically capable. Biowares games tend to be simple graphics and enviroments, simple combat and essentially 2d enviroments (Noticed how KotOR doesn't really have a Y axis?).
Bioware: Miles ahead of Betheda when it comes to telling a good story with engaging characters.. however I do feel that biowares latest games tend to kinda.. flow together. The stories feel kinda similar, the characters like someone you've seen before, the surprise twist' not that big a surprise anymore.
I'd ideally reserve judgement until I try Fallout 3, but here and now I'd say bioware simply because I enjoy their games a lot more in spite of their flaws.

No, and honestly, can you stop making the same thread about which developer is better..it's starting to get annoying (I bet I'll get modded for this because people will say I'm "trolling" but I'm just being honest"
Mass Effect was a buggy mess and to my knowledge still isn't fixed.

there are quite a few reasons for me to consider ME as the worse Bioware effort, but bug isn't one of them.

agreed the story in bioware games seem pretty generic and dragon age sadly looks to be same
