Actually no I don't.. As much as I like Steam, I think Blizzard is better off sticking ot their system along with battle.net.

You can't buy games through Battle.net, why the relation? Not every game on Steam uses its built-in server browser.
Eh, I guess it would be cool for people who don't have the old blizzard games. Really though people still buy starcraft, as evidenced by the starcraft battle chest that you see a lot on store shelves.Citan76
i bought the starcraft battlechest, and i absolutely love it. but steam has become one of my favorite inventions, as having all my games compiled there makes it extremely convenient. i just hope they keep expanding their inventory.

Sorry you misinterpreted me.. My meaning is Blizzard games should not go to steam.. Their games as old as Warcraft 2 can be found more often in game stores/places like bestbuy then really any other title.. That due with the fact that it has battle.net doesn't give much reason to get it for steam.

older games which become available via steam dont just benefit from another place to purchase them, they benefit from new advertising, as every new game becomes advertised for a decent amount of time. this is a great way for companies to make more money off of older games which they dont advertise anymore.
Even on broadband its gonna take a while to download WoW + Expansion 1 + Expansion 2 + Expansion xicy06
but if people would do it, it would be well worth it.

Unfortunately, WC2 wasn't made for XP / Vista while games brought onto steam are optimized for the newer OS's. And just because you buy a game on steam doesn't mean it's played on their servers. You could have Blizzard games sold on steam but still played on b.net.
I doubt it will ever happen, especially considering they both have the money and talent to do whatever they want on whatever time table they want.Fatality4u
youre probably right but here's to dreams.
blizzard dont have anything to sell with valve, nothing in their library "could" get a significant sells boost with valve ... it's not worth it
*** and this forum shouldn't be about b.net vs valve, because with games being played on valve, you don't need to use the valve's server browser ... it's just linking to the downloaded content
