i would also love getting extra content for diablo contiously and i would be happy with it , but my problem is that a diablo mmo will consume too much of my time. so i hope its not diablo

I've been hearing about this for a while now, but I've been hearing that it's a new IP.

In all honesty though I'd have to think it's Starcraft (hell yeah...I'll take it over Warcraft any day).

I know that the phrase "next-gen" is a general industry buzzword, and people apply it to PC gaming as much as anywhere else, but it's concievable that Blizzard's next MMO project is aimed at the console market.

It would make sense.

If it's a diablo MMO it should have a real time combat system and not that boring wow battle system,otherwise it will suck and ruin the diablo franchise Hate_Squad

Yes, World of Warcraft's combat system is immensely boring. That's why it has 8 million subscribers -- good logic you have there.

New? MMO? Won't happen because it wouldn't make sense. One of the main draws of WoW was the familiarity of the land, lore, and characters. When you have brilliant environments like Diablo, Startcraft, and... Diablo (I love the Diablo world)why would they do something stupid like make a new environment no one knows anything about?

Besides, fantasy MMO's are tired, and there's too much competition in that market. I would be really excited if it turned out to be Universe of Starcraft, with similar gameplay to WoW.

I kinda feels like the old dragon slumbering quietly, and suddenly, an adventurer which you spare some decade ago come back at your lair's entrance.

The adventurers are taking baby steps, double checking everything, taking forever to advances throught 3 rooms filled with baddies (supposing they don't wipe and the project comes to fullfillment).

The adventurer better's have good poetry, cause after I eat his group, this will determine if I keep him to entertain me (and pays him), if I send him away, or if I want a desert! For now, it seems I have quite sometimes to sleep before he enters the final room...:P

with the exception of the excellent EVE Online. There is a black hole of good Space based MMO's. and even EVE is considered to be too complex for casual gamers. so the real niche is an easily accessible space based MMO.

that leads one to believe that Starcraft may be the front runner. Hopefully it's not just WoW with new new textures. Since the abysmal mess that is SWG, i'm dying for a space based MMO that has some real space combat in it. The thought of flying corairs or the carriers is pretty appealing to me.

It takes about 3 weeks for most illiterate children to get fed up of wow, they sell all their characters clothes to buy something from the AH in the belief its going to make them all powerful, it doesnt, then they spend the rest of the time wandering the major cities begging higher lvl players for money, then they get bored and stop playing because their sub ran out.

To say Wow got 8 million subscribers even though its been around for 3 years and according to you sucks through marketing and advertising is incredibly stupid, you think its that easy, if it was how comes the might of Sony couldn't make a Wow beater?

Its also nearer to 10 million subscribers than 8 million.
