Hey,

Ihave little sisters who despite me and my parents telling them to keep off limewire and other p2p networks, continue to download and use the programs. I want to know the best way to prevent the p2p websites so that they can not download the programs, and if they do, how to block the program's ports from accessing the internet. I don't know if there is something i can do in the hosts file, linksys router, or some free software that I can install and lock them out of so they can't tamper or remove the software. Thanks. Also is this possible to do on both XP and Vista? Keep in mind though i only want to put these blocks on their one computer, not any of the other pc's in the house. Thanks

~Christopher

And in your linksys router page, you can make sure upnp is disabled, and that only certain ports are enabled.

the prob is its their pc so that would limit them from installing n e thing else. My parents just want them to keep off the p2p for music uses so that we don't get sued. Yet still use p2p on other computers for non music reasons.
