what do you guys prefer? Maybe some of you can run HDR and AA without loosing much performance but for people who are stuck in this situation, what would you go with? :P I can't stand jaggies so I'd go with Bloom + AA

It sucks to make this compromise, but the HDR looks sooo much better than the AA+bloom. The AA is so nice tho! I HATE THIS! I will be getting an HDR+AA compatible 8800 or HD 2900 this summer tho =)

I dont really see the beauty of HDR. there are not many games that support it. the only games that ive seen with HDR are some of the steam games. (css dods). My x1950pro doesnt do aa+HDR very well (around 40-50fps max).

I like bloom though. :) Cant wait till crysis!

you're counting on bloom on crysis? that's a bit odd. HDR looks awesome in the likes of oblivion and such, I liked the HDR in the lost coast demo, as well as on HL2:Ep 1. Oh and farcry looked great as well, but vegas was iffy, I guess the lousy port turned me off from noticing its graphic quality..

Whats the difference? (I dont know alot about HDR except what it does and what it stands for, as for Bloom I dont know what it does, I know what AA does. (Not that much of a n00b))

If you're talking about Oblivion, I can take bloom and AA over HDR, I'm not a huge fan of jaggies either. Besides, bloom looks pretty good too.

In making that compromise with the 7 series, I'd have to agree with you as well. Fortunately, and running with dubs (8 series) and we high rolling wid dem HDR an' AA, which looks more vibrant and excellent by the way. Bloom+AA looks bland and pales in comparison to HDR+AA.

lol ok, me too! that jungle setting will definitely shine with HDR too, all that ambient lighting screams it.

I prefer bloom and AA because jaggies really hurt my eyes after awhile. Although i would take hdr+aa anyday over bloom and aa. Besides, if i want to see jaggies i play console games :P
