I clicked remove icon on the bluetooth menu by accident and I cant find out how to get it back, searched on the internet and found no solution.

Someone on gs must no how to get it back :( I cant use the bluetooth at all without the icon there is no program menu for it so it is very important for me

Btw I'm running windows 7 x64 and so far the only remedy I know is to reinstall the OS which I will not do as it is too much hassle, there must be a quick fix to it, maybe a registry edit?

Any help would be appreciated :)

Thank you so much you dont understand how badly I needed it! =D I really need to learn how to use a search engine lol, 'restore' made a big difference in results Anyone else coming across the problem here is the solution set the registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Bluetooth\Notification Area Icon" to 1

Good to hear you found your solution.

Some people have reported that setting that option still did not let the icon show up; hence the need for the registry fix the TC used above. You are right though, that option should generally fix anyone's problem with the missing icon, but it doesn't always.

Your blue tooth icon has been disabled from your menu bar because it has disabled from user control panel. so now you have to check your your menu bar settings and you could find your icon disabled there. If you could not able to find it. you will have to search it on your control panel otherwise you have to install it manually from CD or setup.
